Decreto-Lei n.º 84/95, de 28 de Abril de 1995
Decreto-Lei n.° 84/95 de 28 de Abril O Decreto-Lei n.° 407/90, de 31 de Dezembro, veio adaptar o regime jurídico dos cargos militares internacionais à situação em que esses cargos são exercidos em situação de embarque.
O referido diploma prevê, assim, a atribuição de um abono de representação aos militares que desempenhem cargos internacionais no Comando da Força Naval Permanente do Atlântico (COMSTANAVFORLANT).
As acções de reequipamento militar em curso nas Forças Armadas vieram dotar a Marinha com novos meios navais, dos quais se destacam as fragatas da classe Vasco da Gama.
Com a entrada ao serviço destas unidades navais, portadoras de elevada tecnologia, ficam reunidas as condições, em termos de meios navais, para a Marinha assumir, a partir de 1995, o Comando da Força Naval Permanente do Atlântico e designar o respectivo navio-chefe.
Justifica-se, portanto, reponderar a razão em que assenta a atribuição do já referido abono de representação, adaptando os seus valores à situação em que os cargos internacionais no COMSTANAVFORLANT sejam exercidos em navios nacionais.
