Regulamento de Designação, Organização e Funcionamento do Provedor Municipal dos Animais de São João da Madeira
Jorge Manuel Rodrigues Vultos Sequeira, Presidente da Câmara Municipal de São João da Madeira, torna público que, decorrido o período de consulta pública, foi aprovado, em reunião da Assembleia Municipal realizada no dia 08 de outubro de 2019 (2.ª reunião da sessão ordinária iniciada em 23 de setembro de 2019), sob proposta da Câmara Municipal, o Regulamento de Designação, Organização e Funcionamento do Provedor Municipal dos Animais de São João da Madeira, o qual se publica, nos termos estabelecidos no artigo 139.º do Código do Procedimento Administrativo, na IIª série do Diário da República e que se encontra disponível para consulta na página do Município na internet, em www.cm-sjm.pt.

Regulamento Interno de Designação, Organização e Funcionamento do Provedor Municipal dos Animais de São João da Madeira
A criação do Provedor Municipal dos Animais de São João da Madeira foi uma proposta da Câmara Municipal de São João da Madeira devido a um compromisso político e pela necessidade de desenvolver políticas municipais para a melhoria do bem-estar dos animais, da responsabilidade de quem cuida deles, de fazer cumprir a legislação e regulamentos municipais nomeadamente na higiene pública, no comportamento das pessoas face aos animais e no apuramento da responsabilidade em matéria de fiscalização e atuação legal. A figura do Provedor Municipal dos Animais tem enquadramento legal para a sua criação no Artigo 33, n.º 1, alíneas ii) e jj), bem como no Artigo 3.º alínea d) e Artigo 4 da Lei n.º 75/2013 de 12 de setembro.
Artigo 1.º
Missão
O Provedor Municipal dos Animais de São João da Madeira tem por missão garantir a defesa, a proteção animal e o bem-estar, bem como promover, zelar e monitorizar a prossecução dos seus interesses e direitos sempre com recurso a queixa com identificação e que justifiquem intervenção com apoio dos serviços municipais.
Artigo 2.º
Elegibilidade e designação
1 - O Provedor Municipal dos Animais de São João da Madeira é designado pela Assembleia Municipal, sob proposta da Câmara Municipal de São João da Madeira.
2 - A votação efetua-se por escrutínio secreto e o resultado é apurado por maioria simples dos votos...
