Aviso n.º 87/2006 Por ordem superior se torna público que a Letónia depositou junto do Secretário-Geral do Conselho da Europa, em 30 de Março de 2004, o seu instrumento de ratificação do Segundo Protocolo Adicional à Convenção Europeia de Auxílio Judiciário Mútuo em Matéria Penal, aberta para assinatura em Estrasburgo em 8 de Novembro de 2001, com a seguinte declaração: 'Reservation In accordance with article 33, paragraph 2, of the Second Additional Protocol, the Republic of Latvia declares that it does not accept article 17 of the said Protocol.
Declarations In accordance with article 11, paragraph 4, of the Second Additional Protocol, the Republic of Latvia declares that it reserves the right not to be bound by the conditions imposed by the providing Party under paragraph 2 of said article 11.
In accordance with article 13, paragraph 7, of the Second Additional Protocol, the Republic of Latvia declares that before an agreement is reached under paragraph 1 of said article 13, the consent referred to in paragraph 3 of the said article 13 will be required.

In accordance with article 19, the Republic of Latvia declares that the competent authority prior to prosecution is: Ministry of Interior, Raina Boulevard, 6, Riga, LV-1050, Latvia (phone: + 3717219263; fax: + 3717271005; e-mail: kanceleja@iem.gov.lv).
In accordance with paragraph 5 of article 26, the Republic of Latvia requires that personal data transmitted to another Party is not used by the receiving Party for the purposes of paragraph 1 of article 26 unless with its previous consent.'
